We run a 36ha dry-stock lifestyle farm in South Auckland and needed soil tests so I ordered a Dirt Dagger from Wise Earth. It arrived a few days later and I took the samples and sent them to the lab. Within a few days I had the results and John was on the phone to give me his expert advice on them. It was a very simple and effective process which I would recommend to others.

Hi John,
I used Wise Earth Solutions in May 2008 to get an accurate finding on our pasture improvement requirements.  Taking samples with the Dirt Dagger was clean and simple and easier than previous methods I'd used. The feedback on the sampling was prompt and informative and the recommended action worked a treat. We have owned our 12 acre farm only two years and had no previous soil data But we knew we should have one before spending good money on fertiliser. The sampling tool was very simple to use and the results were back in no time. John gave us good advice and we were happy to follow it.

Drury
Great system for farmers, convenient to do it yourself.
On some of the farm it was easy to use but our property is predominantly heavy clay & silt and that was a bit of a struggle as it sets like concrete in the summer, next time we will use it in the spring when the soil has a bit more moisture in it so should be a bit easier. Would use again though. Well done John.

The system I found to be a piece of cake from start to finish. The sampling tool that you sent was very easy to use and once I had sent the samples off the response time relating to what our soil required (ie nutrients, lime etc)  was very quick. I had assumed obtaining what was right for our particular soil type was going to be a hassle but I found the whole experience to be quite the opposite.

The Dirt Dagger was great.  Very easy to use, and the instructions that came with it were great. It was very good for people like ourselves that only have a small block.  It was cost effective, and we could do it when were ready for it, we didn't have to worry about making arrangements for people to come onto the property, as we are at work.

The results came thru quickly, and John your assistance thru the whole exercise was very much appreciated.

Good morning John, and thanks for sending through the recommendations following the soil test. Your testing kit is an excellent concept. Most lifestyle block owners will know little about improving the quality of their soil, (and as a result the return on their investment in their lifestyle), and make take well-meaning but poor advice in this important aspect to the detriment of their properties over time. Your "dirt digger" is ideal and simple to use. The package you offer, the test, consultation and treatment recommendation have given me confidence that the right outcomes will show up in the paddocks in due course.
